Human Factors is all about 'ren'. That's why I created this banner with the 'ren' featured in it. Actually, it's not my stroke of genius, really. I used to work for an organisation and my Director used the symbol to show what the whole organisation was all about. I liked it so much, and I have now adopted it.
People sometimes think human factors is the same as Human Resource Management. No, that's a separate discipline. Dont be confused. Think of it this way,
human factors is about knowing everything there is to know about human (the physical, thinking/cognitive and social aspects) and applying this knowledge to designing tools, gadgets, systems, workplaces, and environment to make them safer, more comfortable, easier and more fun.
